Laura Hejl

Laura has been with "Artist Hair Studio" since it originated as "Angi's" in 2005. She graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute's cosmetology program in 2000. She then moved to Sioux Falls to work at "Village Hair and Spa" until 2005. Now Laura, her husband Josh and daughter Mya live right in Tea. They love the small town feel with the convenience of SF only 5 minutes away.

Robyn Thompson

Robyn was trained in cosmetology in Rapid City, SD. She has thirteen years of experience as a stylist, skin care specialist and salon/spa manager. She has training and experience in medical spa management and medical aesthetics.

Her love for this industry and adventuresome spirit took her to England, trained in European Beauty Therapy, which landed her a position on a cruise ship in Tahiti in the ship’s salon, spa and fitness center for one year.

Robyn relocated to Sioux Falls in 2004. She commits herself to education by holding the position of a Redken Regional Artist and Educator, National Redken Certified Colorist, National Redken Certified Designer and continues these positions part time. With these positions, she receives national training throughout the year, works regional hairshows, bringing higher education and techniques to the region’s salon and her clients. Robyn owns Artist Hair Studio and provides services in hair, waxing and skin care.

Alissa Houska

Alissa started at Angi's, which is now Artist Hair Studio, in Feb. 2005. She graduated from Stewarts School in Sioux Falls and has been doing hair for 4 years. She worked at Village Hair and Spa, a full service salon, in Sioux Falls. After 18 months she had the opportunity to expand and move to Angi’s. Alissa specializes in trendy new cuts and colors. She makes sure your style is one that suits your personality and lifestyle. She also provides all other hair services, pedicures, manicures and facial waxing.

Heidi Wickenhagen

Heidi has been with Artist Hair Studio since June 2007. Prior to Artist Hair Studio, Heidi was a cosmetologist at Agape Salon and Spa for four years and in Iowa for one year. Heidi graduated from LeMars Beauty college in September 2002. She has taken continuing education classes in color placement, trend cutting, formal special occasion styles and make up. Heidi offers full hair services, manicures, pedicures, facial waxing, and make up.

Beth Jasper

Beth was trained at Stewarts School of Hairstyling. From there she worked at a full service salon in Pipestone, MN. For the next 15+ years Beth owned her own salon in Edgerton, MN. She relocated to Sioux Falls, SD in 2009 and began working at Artist.

Lacey Michalek

Lacey has been in the industry for a little over five years. She attended Black Hills Beauty College and learned pivot point hair cutting techniques. She specializes in color correction, unique foil placement, hair cutting and coloring. Lacey is now taking appointments Tuesday through Friday. Call the salon to schedule an appointment.
